Your guests' data stays on your device
Most compliance tools ask you to upload everything. Visitor Levy App is built the other way round — here's exactly how.
Guest data never leaves your device
Spreadsheet parsing, column mapping and every levy calculation run in your browser. Guest names and individual stays are not sent to us, not stored, and not logged.
Only aggregates are stored
Per property and per quarter we hold totals: accommodation charge, levy, bookings processed, bookings flagged exempt, and filing status. There is no bookings table on our servers.
No special-category data
There is deliberately no way to upload exemption evidence. Guests claim exemption refunds directly with the council, so we never ask you to hold sensitive documents.
EU hosting, HTTPS everywhere
Account and property data is stored in the EU (Ireland). All traffic is encrypted in transit; the site is served over HTTPS with no mixed content.
Access control at the database
Row-level security is enabled on every table holding personal or account data, scoped so you — or an agent you have explicitly granted access — can only reach your own records. It is enforced in the database, not hidden in the interface.
Clean logs and error reports
Application logs and error reports carry no personal or booking data. Payments run through Stripe; card details never touch our servers.
What this means for you in practice
- Your booking data lives in this browser's local storage. Clearing site data removes it — always keep your own copies of the source records.
- Because we never receive guest data, a breach of Visitor Levy App could not expose your guests.
- You can export your account data and delete your account yourself from settings.
- This page describes controls that are live today. It is maintained by Visitor Levy App and is not an independent certification or audit.
Full detail on what is collected, retained and shared is in the privacy policy. Report a suspected vulnerability to security@visitorlevyapp.com.
